About Sara M. Webster, Criminal Defense Attorney

Bucks County Criminal Defense Attorney Sara M. Webster

Sara Webster is respected throughout the legal community for her competence in criminal defense and the forensic aspects of mental illness. She ably represents clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors including homicide, sex offenses, drug offenses, theft, assault, DUI (driving under the influence), juvenile offenses and other traffic violations.

As a defender of the U.S. Constitution, she has won motions to suppress evidence for the lack of probable cause and for violation of constitutional rights. In a key rape and IDSI (involuntary deviate sexual intercourse) case, she established an irrefutable alibi defense using analysis of inconsistent emails and global positioning via phone records.

Since 1999 Sara Webster has served as chair of the Bucks County Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section, which presents monthly programs on criminal practice and procedure. She has been a frequent course planner and lecturer at continuing education seminars on such criminal defense topics as sex offenses, DUI and trial tactics sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL).

A past-president of PACDL, Sara Webster also taught a class on Law & Responsibility to at-risk young people in the Bucks County Juvenile Court system. She has long served on the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the federal courts and maintains membership in PACDL, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Bucks County Bar Association and American Bar Association. For 30 years Webster has been a lawyer for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. She was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law; she has been designated a Super Lawyer, as published in Philadelphia magazine, each year since the award’s inception; was named one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Pennsylvania; and most recently was given a peer rating on Lawyers.com of 4.4 out of 5.0.

In the Doylestown community, Sara Webster is a dedicated naturalist and amateur ornithologist. She has served on the boards of Peace Valley Nature Center, Peace Center, Bucks County Audubon Society, Governor’s Mental Health Task Force for Women, Sex Offenders Management Team and Buckingham Friends School. She received the March of Dimes Women of Achievement Award in 2009 for her work in the community.
